"ART & MATHEMATICS: from the aesthetics of Art to the logic of Mathematics"

The Hellenic Parliament Foundation presents the exhibition Music Education and Democracy in Classical Athens. The President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Filippos Petsalnikos opened the exhibition on March 1st, at 19:30 p.m. The exhibition captures music as a central element of forming human character, influencing state laws and rhythms of social life and, consequently, possessing a political dimension.

The work of Athina Ioannou is related specifically to selected spaces which guide her. For each of her works she follows a certain process during which she researches and observes the given space.
At the Museum of Islamic Art, an annex to the Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece the artist has decided to work in the basement area of the building where a section of the ancient walls of the city of Athens exists from the 4th century B.C.

FREE FILMS Calling all cinemagoers!

The Association of Greek Archaeologists' (SEA), in cooperation with the Greek Directors' Guild, is offering free open-air film screenings in the association's courtyard in Thiseio in Athens, Greece, over the summer months.

The series kicks off on Thursday with a screenings of 1988 film Cinema Paradiso and will continue for until the autumn.

Athens Flying Week 2012

Athens Flying Week is designed to become the major flying event for the city of Athens.

Initially, for the year 2012, the project will take place in the last week of September - from Monday the 24th until Sunday the 30th - and all activities will lead to the Weekend at Tatoi airfield.
