The event is under the aegis of The Municipality of Athens,GNTO, The Athens Tourism and Development Agency and Breathtaking Athens.The occasion is the International Day of Tourist Guides and the aim is to promote lesser known archaeological sites and museums of Athens.

This Christmas season, Athens is reviving. Young people take action in bringing a sign of hope and participation to the City. The festive program that the City of Athens has prepared this year, concentrates on solidarity and joint efforts. For this reason, the artistic workforce of the City is giving an emphasis on giving life to the commercial center of Athens, which has lately been hit from the financial crisis, with lots of shops shutting down.

The 3rd Athens Biennale 2011 MONODROME opened to the public on 23 October and will last through 11 December. The international contemporary art festival of Athens takes place at Diplareios School (Theatre Square) and at the Arts Center and the Eleftherios Venizelos Museum (Eleftherias Park). More than 100 artists, art groups, curators and theorists participate in the exhibition and the events programme of MONODROME.

ReMap3 - An international contemporary art platform

ReMap3 starts on Monday, September 12th (17:00) in Athens, Greece with a dense and versatile international programme of exhibitions and events open to the public.
This year's event, the third one in the history of ReMap, further reinforces its international character, as it becomes a meeting point for more than 250 artists, art historians and curators from around the world. Within the 30 independent and the 25 gallery projects comprising this year's ReMap, the artistic community of Kerameikos - Metaxourgeio will also be represented.
