ATTICA ZOOLOGICAL PARK

The awe-inspiring Attica Zoological Park in Spata, is a park which offers recreational and educational experience as it hosts and conserves a huge variety of animals. Near Athens International Airport and just 40 km (25 miles), or an hour away from the centre of Athens, this wild life kingdom wonder expands in 32 acres, giving the visitor the chance to admire the 3rd largest bird collection in the world, 300 different species of farm animals, monkeys, reptiles and animals of the Greek fauna. In addition, beautiful mammals of the African Savannah are hosted here, as well as animals which are at the brink of extinction. The zoo also offers interactive programs for children in order to raise awareness on the importance of preserving the natural habitats of every species in the animal kingdom. Picnic area, souvenir shop, café and playground, all operate on the premises.
