Kiters and sailors join forces to raise funds for 3 charities

Most of us think twice before leaving our warm houses on a cold February day. For others, it is the opportunity to jump into icy cold waters to raise funds and awareness for charity.

This is what a group of kiteboarders and sailors will do in a few weeks.

"The art of Sonia Delaunay"

Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) was a Jewish-French artist who, with her husband Robert Delaunay and others, cofounded the Orphism art movement

The Herakleidon Museum in Athens,Greece, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Athens, present an exhibition of works by the sculptor Ntina Anastasiadou titled "Mathematics and the Arts of Japan".

The exhibition comprises 60 sculptures, ceramic works and constructions inspired by the Culture of Japan.

Educational Program for children aged 4-7 yrs

Every Sunday from January 29th until February 19th 2012, from 11:00 until 12:30 at Herakleidon Museum in Athens, Greece, Vasilia Vaxevani will be unfolding stories from all over the world, using the kamishibai* technique, precursor of Japanese comics. Together, the children will create their own "paper theater".

Islands off the beaten track is the name of a series of archaeological exhibitions being organised by and held at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens, Greece, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The exhibitions will focus on the most remote, inaccessible, small and medium-sized islands of the Aegean archipelago.
