Richard Galliano, one of the most important living accordion and bandoneón players on the international jazz scene, is considered the heir of the great Astor Piazzolla, his close friend and mentor. Galliano will be appearing live on 19 April at the Pallas Theatre in Athens, Greece to take the audience on a captivating musical journey through the world of tango, classical music and jazz. Galliano is presenting two personal projects at Pallas Theater, accompanied by his leading musicians for a unique concert.

The exhibition at the Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece from 24 March to 23 May is based on the costume collection of the "Vassilios Papantoniou" Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation. It is comprised of a wide range of museum-grade clothing from the 18th to the 21st century, including masterpieces by designers/couturiers known the world over, such as , Christian Dior, Jean-Paul Gaultier and others, as well as internationally renowned Greek designers, such as Jean Dessès, Sophia Kokosalaki and others.

Legendary band UFO from England begins its European tour in Athens, Greece on 16 April at the Fuzz Club, and is bringing along in its luggage its 21st and much-anticipated album, The Visitor. UFO formed in 1969 by Phil Mogg, Paul Reymond and Andy Parker. Now they have included American guitar legend Winnie Moore on their tour, coming to Athens, Greece to present songs that have made history.

The exhibition "Moscow. 21st century" is being present by the Cultural Institute of Moscow "Moscow City Museum," in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Athens-Vouros-Eftaxias. The exhibition will familiarise Athenians with modern Moscow as seen through photographs from the Moscow Museum. It is the museum's largest and most important collection, consisting of 70,000 photographs. The exhibition will run from 18 March to 18 April at the Museum of the City of Athens-Vouros-Eftaxias.

Mr. Scruff is a British DJ and artist whose name was inspired by his scruffy facial hair, as well as his trademark loose-lined drawing style he will play at Bios in Athens, Greece on 16 April. Mr. Scruff is known for DJing marathon sets (often exceeding six hours), his eclectic musical taste, his love of a "nice cup of tea" and the quirky home-produced visuals and animations associated with his music.

The Breeder Gallery presents the first solo exhibition in Athens, Greece by Iranian photographer Shirana Shahbazi from 14 March to 24 April. Inspired by old masters, Shahbazi stages and rearranges still lifes, which she photographs and develops in spatial installations in combination with other photos. Motifs such as skulls, shells, butterflies and fruit are featured often in Shahbazi's work. The artist removes these symbols from their usual context and allows their pictorial quality to assume greater prominence.

Comicdom Con Athens, a celebration dedicated to comics, invites friends of the Ninth Art and all those who would like to know more about the magical world of printed pop culture to attend this year's event. It is being held at the Hellenic American Union from 16 to 18 April in Athens, Greece and will feature three days of penciling events, showings, workshops on scripting and illustration, a bazaar of comics from Greek shops and publishers and the Comicdom Awards, the only comics awards for Greek creators.

The thematic exhibition entitled "Faces of Modernism: Painting in Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, 1910-1940," being staged by the National Museum of Art of Romania in Bucharest, the National Gallery-Bulgarian Museum of Fine Arts in Sofia and the B & M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music, is taking place from 12 March to 9 May at the B & M Theocharakis Foundation in Athens, Greece.

The founder of Prague's Black Light Theatre, Jiří Srnec, is bringing the Flying Bicycle performance to the "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall in Athens, Greece on 9 and 10 April. The work is presented in 10 scenes. It is the love story of an inventor who, during his efforts to build a flying bicycle, discovers love for the time in his life. The work is considered to be an autobiography of Black Theatre developer Jiří Srnec.

After his great success at Synch Festival ‘09, Mulatu Astatke, "the father of ethio-jazz," returns to the Fuzz Club in Athens, Greece for an explosive live show on 17 April. Mulatu Astatke is one of the most important and influential African musicians of the 20th century. He is considered the "father of ethio-jazz," as his music combines jazz and Latin influences with traditional Ethiopian music.
