This year, the festival has the distinctive thematic title "P.I.I.G.S." since it is dedicated to the rich music tradition of the 5 European countries that were hit the hardest from the recent economic crisis (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain).

After 12 successful years, the European Technopolis Jazz Festival opens its doors to the rest of the world and becomes the international "Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival", hosting jazz musicians and groups from all over the planet.

After the success of the "EVERYTHING RED", MARTINOS antique gallery at Athens, Greece organizes a second thematic exhibition under the title ZOO.

Thirty-five distinguished artists will participate in the exhibition, in which animals will be playing a leading role, with each artist using his own means of expression.

Beginning on March 23, 2012, the Museum Herakleidon in Athens, Greece will present an exhibition of works by M.C. Escher and V. Vasarely, from its permanent collections. The exhibition does not have a closing date, however the works on display will be periodically renewed.
