A number of big bookstores are situated in Athens city center. Extending on to many floors and separated into a number of thematic departments, they offer a wide variety of titles in English, French, German and other foreign languages, covering a range of topics from fiction to contemporary design and from cooking to archaeology.

In most of these Athens Bookstores, you can have a break in the café situated within the bookstore, whilst having a look at titles you are interested in.
The opening hours are from 9:00 to 21:00 during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 9:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays.
