21st Panorama of European Film

The Panorama of European Film Festival takes place in Athens from the 9th until 19th of October. The Festival has been organized for the last 20 years by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Eleftherotypia newspaper, alongside other groups that support it, such as the British Council, the City of Athens, the Greek Film Center, the Goethe Institute and others.

It concentrates on bringing out both Greek and European films of contemporary and classical cinema. Over the 20 years of the Festival it has become established as a significant cultural event in Athens.

The festival carries a special theme on Sex and Love on Cinema and presents a variety of films that deal with issues around the subject of love, from "mad" passionate love through to suppressed sexuality and the different aspects of sex. It will take place at the Apollon Cinemax Class (9th -19th October) and the Microcosmos Filmcenter (9th - 15th October).
