Street Day on Athens

On Saturday the 25th of October, people and artists that consider the streets, the parks and the squares of Athens as their natural canvas, are making an organized proposal-invitation to the people of Athens. Artists, theater groups, street performers, musicians, jugglers, acrobats, graffiti artists and many others will take over the streets of Athens and paint them with spectacles, happenings and action.

The activities will start at noon and will last until late afternoon at Syntagma Square, Voukourestiou St, Ermou St, Kapnikarea Sq. and throughout Monastiraki and Thission. The artists will take the baton from the streets of Athens and give it to the people; the most important part of this event.
 
The performers will be:

Company Pantum- Mottus Terrae-Helix Street Theater
Circus Performance- One Man Show: Eekuipoiz, Lady Dayz-Circus Dayz
      Puppet show: Agiousagia, Baruti
      Music: Quilombo, Vasilis Vasilatos
      And many others

The day will close with a street party in the pedestrian road of Thessalonikis St., at 21.00.

Street Day was established in France in 2007, under the name of "rue libre" (free street) as an initiative of the federation of street artists (fédération des arts de la rue).
