Athens Xclusive Designers Week

Athens Xclusive Designers Week will take place at the Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Centre from 30 October to 2 November. It is a fashion event presenting an innovative and extensive programme of fashion, business, cultural and social events, allowing visitors to experience the most innovative and engaging creative interaction. A gala and parties, fashion concerts, photo and art exhibitions, charity events and business forums are all part of Athens Xclusive Designers Week.

Athens Xclusive Designers is the international fashion week in Greece. It is modeled on international Fashion Weeks that take place in Paris, London, Milan and New York. It brings together international fashion executives and organisations and has the support of various Greek public agencies. Athens Xclusive Designers Week is considered to be the most important event in the Greek fashion industry.

The vision of Athens Xclusive Designers Week is to soon be one of the events that will dynamically contribute to the fashion industry on an international level as a centre of creation, style and aesthetics. It aims at defining the status of the Greek fashion industry through international exposure.

The event features catwalks designed according to international Fashion Week standards; show rooms planned to serve the designer's needs and portray their exquisite taste and aesthetics; a specially outfitted VIP area, a pressroom for Greek and foreign correspondents, as well as fashion stands superbly arranged to satisfy sponsors and exclusive partners.

The designers participating in the event include:
•Exclusively accredited Greek fashion designers who are accepted based on their resume and their success in this specific domain.
•Supreme foreign designers who are invited as guests of honour to present their collections in Greece, as well as selected young Greek and foreign designers, with a desire to enter the world of fashion and showcase their talent.
•The guests invited to the event.
•The public, which for this event is targeted and the invitations are personal.

In addition, AXDW has been designed to include a series of parallel events that complement the "fashion" concept and is considered a "Festival for Fashion." Since its very first show, AXDW has hosted a number of philanthropic and environmental NGOs with a clear message: "We can all contribute to make this world a little bit better." Important NGOs have collaborated with us in each AXDW show. Well-known and credible foundations have reached out to the large AXDW audience in order to sensitise it on environmental and humanitarian issues. Some of these organisations include " Agaliazo," a solid group of volunteers supporting people who are suffering from cancer; the "Institute Team for the World," which is dedicated to the protection of the environment; the "Anasa" organisation, which informs the public about eating disorders; the "Make a Wish Foundation," which supports children aged 3-18 years who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness by granting their most cherished wishes.

However, Fashion is an endless celebration. Therefore, on show in the area outside the room of impressive catwalks will be amazing custom-made art objects, which have been created by young student designers and artists to highlight the importance of environmental protection as well as peace and humanity.
