The Sonics from Tacoma, Washington, will play two live shows on 6 and 7 November at Gagarin 205 in Athens. The Sonics play garage rock and are a group that rocked the boat like no one else in the music industry in the mid-60s. Their unique sound forced music critics to invent the term "industrial punk." Their appearance is part of the 5th "Athenaeum Cave, the annual mod-60s happening staged by Belle Vue. The second show was added after tickets for the first night sold out.The outrageous vocals, the wild fuzz guitars, the explosive bass and the most outlandish saxophone ever heard create an amazing combination. The Sonics are one of the most important and influential bands in the history of rock. Their impact continues to be felt by many bands, even nowadays!
