The young twin-sisters Ferhan and Ferzan Oender have established themselves as one of the most promising piano-duos of the younger generation in the world concert circuit through their electrifying playing. They will appear at the Megaron, Athens Concert Hall on 16 February performing works by Sergey Rachmaninoff, Franz Liszt, Igor Stravinsky and Witold Lutoslawski.

Extensive concert tours have taken the pianists through all of Europe, the Far East and America. Ferhan and Ferzan Oender perform regularly with major orchestras and have worked with world renowned conductors. They began playing the piano at age 10. Four years later, they won the Jury Special Award at the International Duo Competition in Terni (Italy). After a series of other prizes, Ferhan and Ferzan Oender won First Prize at the International Piano Duo Competition in Hamburg.

Their first CD for EMI Classics, featuring Vivaldi´s Four Seasons and the Bach Variations by Gustav Nottebohm, won the coveted Echo Klassik Prize from the German Phono Academy. The Oenders' next release for EMI was in fall 2003, with 1001 Nights/Sheherezade.
