One of the most notable figures on the British scene in the last 20 years will be in Athens, Greece after many years. Ian Brown, former vocalist with the legendary and universally recognised Stone Roses and with his successful danceable album My Way under his belt, comes to Athens to remind older fans and teach new ones all about dance indie with attitude and to show them what a true rock star looks like on stage. The good news about Ian Brown seems to never end. He has been on the stage for 25 years, and fans never stop loving him. New generations of listeners in his home country voted his single "F.E.A.R." among the five best songs of the 2000s on Radio Xfm. NME magazine has sung his praises after each live performance on his current tour. Ian Brown himself, who is completely reconciled with his past, performs quite a few of the Stone Roses masterpieces, bringing back memories of pleasurable evenings at the Hacienda and Spike Island.

The sound of Manchester Rave, more timely than ever, is interwoven with Brown's sound. His attitude has taught many generations of music makers -- do the Gallagher brothers owe him something? -- how to keep the media buzzing about everything they say or do. But his own solo career is just as notable. With evident dance-funk influences, social lyrics and marvelous melodies -- and his trademark voice -- he has got to his sixth album, always keeping to the highest of standards.
