Fates Warning

Perhaps the most influential progressive metal band of all time, Fates Warning are coming to the Fuzz Club in Athens, Greece on 27 March to present live all of their Parallels album, as well as few more of their legendary songs. Fates Warning essentially created the genre back in 1984, combining elements of heavy metal with traditional progressive rock.

Taking a break from recording their 11th album, which is expected to be released in summer 2010, Fates Warning are coming to Athens, Greece for a special evening to mark the re-release of their classic album, Parallels.

The original line up which appeared on the album is reuniting for a limited number of appearances. In addition to the hard core of Jim Matheos and Ray Alder, appearing alongside them on stage will be not only Frank Aresti, who in recent years has often played with the band, but also the original bass player, Joe DiBiase, and drummer legend Mark Zonder. It is the first time in 15 years that the band will play together.

The surprises do not stop there. For the first, and perhaps the last, time, the band will play the Parallels album in its entirety at these concerts. And not only that: at their appearance in Athens, Greece, Fates Warning will also play a few of their well-known songs from the period 1989-1994, which most fans have never heard live.

Don't miss Fates Warning at the Fuzz Club in Athens, Greece on 27 March.
