Marianna Kavallieratou developed her art alongside a giant of the performing arts. A performer and close collaborator of Robert Wilson for 18 years, she will be making her Athens Festival début with her first choreographic attempt presenting Moment at the Pireos 260 WareHouse in Athens, Greece, on 30 June and 1 July. Body and gender identity, a favourite field of research for contemporary dance, is the inspiration behind Moment: a duet, performed by Kavallieratou herself with Thanassis Akokkalidis that deals with the duality of our sexes-our transgender self. A wandering through the world of man as woman and woman as man.
