Agua by Pina Bausch at the "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall
In Água (2001), Pina Bausch sings of Brazil, of Rio, São Paolo and Bahia with her body in a hymn to beauty and pleasure. The work belongs to the most optimistic and dance-filled period in the career of the great choreographer, who decided in 1989 to dedicate herself to the "Schrift of wandering", adding another great city to her travelogue each time. The Tanztheater Wuppertal will be at the "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall presenting Água (2001) by Pina Bausch from 7 to 9 July as part of the Athens Festival for an unforgettable performance.
Companions along the way, her exceptional dancers-the celebrated Tanztheater Wuppertal - continue to make history by distilling the essence of experience into dance. The performance will feature Brazilian music by various artists and other songs by Susana Barca, Tom Waits, the Tiger Lillies, PJ Harvey and others.
