Athens Photo Festival 2012

Athens Photo Festival, organized by the Hellenic Centre for Photography, is the annual festival of photography and related media in Greece and a premier cultural event in Athens. The Athens Photo Festival 2012 edition celebrates festival′s 25 years of active and creative presence, expanding continuously its role in a changing society through a variety of projects and initiatives that enable people to experience and enjoy photography.

It will take place from October 19 to November 5 in Technopolis of the city of Athens, a former gasworks site that was founded in 1857, as well as in several venues across the city during the months of October and November.

Athens Photo Festival includes a diverse range of exhibitions as well as screenings, portfolio reviews, performances, master classes, lectures, photographic marathon, fine print program and other parallel events.

The festival′s success, to a great degree, is the result of collaboration and support of many fellow public and private organizations and individuals from Greece and abroad. The growing international recognition and critical acclaim of the Athens Photo Festival allows the Festival to attract outstanding projects and attendees from all over the world.
