The founder of Prague's Black Light Theatre, Jiří Srnec, is bringing the Flying Bicycle performance to the "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall in Athens, Greece on 9 and 10 April. The work is presented in 10 scenes. It is the love story of an inventor who, during his efforts to build a flying bicycle, discovers love for the time in his life. The work is considered to be an autobiography of Black Theatre developer Jiří Srnec.

Roberto Benigni will be in Athens to present excerpts from Dante's Divine Comedy in two performances at the Athens Concert Hall on 5 and 6 May. The famous Italian comic and director, who received three Oscars for his film Life is Beautiful, is touring internationally with a performance called Inferno e Paradiso, which presents Hell, one of the three parts of the Divine Comedy. He has especially selected to present the 5th Canto, which addresses the meaning of love, for his appearance in Athens.
The China National Acrobatic Troupe was founded in 1950 under the patronage of Prime Minister Zhou Enlai and was the first acrobatic troupe created after the establishment of the New China. Originally presented in 472 B.C., Aeschylus' Persians is the oldest surviving tragedy and in effect, the oldest play that has reached modern times. This summer, under the direction of Stavros Tsakiris, the play is being presented on 1st August in an open air amphitheater.
