The Athens gasworks, the site where the City of Athens "Technopolis" park is located, reopens its gates to the public on 27 January 2013, approximately 30 years after its operation closedown, as Athens's first industrial museum.
After an international career as a ballet soloist and teacher, Kalliopi now creates sculpture inspired by the dance. This exhibition features twenty of her sculptures with Vincent's photos of them. Also, her dancing career is shown in archive photos, with transformations of these images into new shapes and colours.

In the spring of 399 B.C., Socrates confronted 500 Athenians, citizens, judges and jurors, in his trial initiated by the charges leveled at him by Meletus, Anytos and Lycon. The trial began with a reading of the formal charges: "Socrates is a doer of evil, and corrupter of the youth, and he does not believe in the gods of the state, and he believes in other new divinities of his own."

The partially restored ELAIOURGIO (a former soap factory) is the home of Aeschylia Festival. The factory is situated next to Elefsina's main archaeological site, where one of the most important initiation ceremonies of antiquity, the Elefsinian mysteries, took place. The 3rd Screamin' Athens Horror Film Festival will be held Friday and Saturday 9 and 10 April at Gagarin 205. A total of 22 long and short films from various countries will be shown during the festival. Made on a minimal budget and with plenty of black humour as their backbone, the films are mostly independent and underground productions. Most of them have been shown at major horror film international festivals and have earned distinctions and awards.
This exhibition presents the winning study, the five finalist proposals, along with the rest of the submissions in a competition to designing and develop a student housing complex in the Keramikos-Metaxourgio district. At the same time, material related to the area and to student housing will also be presented, along with the results of popular voting. The show is being presented at the Benaki Museum from 26 March to 4 April in Athens, Greece.

Art for More is a pioneering international festival dedicated to Art and Mental Health which will take place 9 to 11 October in observance of International Mental Health Day (10 October) at the Art House. The Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens will celebrate International Museum Day -- and Night -- on 16 and 17 May with a series of events, continuing a tradition begun in 2005 by the museum directorate of the French Ministry of Culture, which coordinates the celebration for Europe. Technopolis in Athens will once again host the festival on 8, 9 and 10 May. The National Institute of Radio Broadcasting, now known as Hellenic Radio, in 2008 celebrated the 70th anniversary of its first transmission. The state-run Hellenic Radio (ERA) 70 years later returns to Zappeion, the spot from where it transmitted its first broadcast, with a large exhibition that recounts the history of radio in Greece. The exhibition will be held from 8 December until 30 January.
The exhibition "Through History with Ikaros" is an imaginary "flight", organized by the Cultural Organization of the City of Athens in collaboration with the S.O.F.I.A Foundation. The rare exhibits of this particular exhibition belong to the Foundation, they are certified by Christie's London, and it is made possible thanks to the support of the Hellenic Air Force General.

From September 10 to October 1, Green Design Festival takes place at Syntagma Square and another 10 spots within the city center, organized under the auspices of the Athens Municipality.
