The InterSport Tennis Open (ΙΤΟ), the biggest amateur Open tournament in Athens, Greece, is for all fans of tennis who are interested in taking part in a high-level, spectacular tournament with big prizes. The InterSport Tennis Open takes place from 6 to 20 March at the Athens Tennis Club.

A new type of downhill race will take place on 24 January, bringing the inline skating revolution to Athens, Greece. More than 40 participants from aggressive and fitness inline skating will go head to head in a challenging descent. The Red Bull Park-In-Line ramp will be part of a multi-story parking garage in the centre of Athens, Greece. Beginning at the top and finishing on the ground floor, competitors will fight it out in fours, as they try to knock each other out of the competition.

The ITF Women's Circuit will be held for a second year running in Athens. This time it will take place at the Olympic Stadium Tennis Courts from 26 September to 4 October, when women tennis players from all over the world will compete in the Vogue Athens Open 2009 tournament on the state-of-the-art tennis courts in Athens.
